ReachOut Jail & Prison ministry is an opportunity for volunteers to bring encouragement, hope and the good news to those who are incarcerated. This ministry is comprised of four groups: PenPal Ministry, Jail Ministry, Prison Ministry and Hope Builders. If you would like to learn more about this ministry contact Ernesto at (858) 613-7800 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are a team of men & women that visit RJ Donovan Correctional Facility once a month. We lead the inmates into worship and minister to our brothers in blue. We go to offer the truth, grace, and mercy of God, as found in His inerrant Word, to those who are incarcerated. We minister, guide, assist, and serve as a beacon of light to all who may be in despair and have no hope. Isaiah 40:8, II Timothy 3:16-17
This ministry is based on the concept that all who have sinned and fall short of the glory of God are in need of a Savior who will by His grace justify, redeem and restore those who call on His name. Romans 3:23
We serve knowing that the riches of God are found in His kindness, tolerance, and patience realizing that it is God’s kindness that leads us to repentance and those who judge others will also be judged. Romans 2:1-4, Mark 12:30-31.
Our jail visitation ministry provides the opportunity to reach out to men and women in crisis due to their recent arrest and incarceration as they await sentencing. At this low point in their lives, jail inmates are ripe for the message of God’s unconditional love and forgiveness and the offer of salvation and eternal hope available through Christ.
Be on the front lines of reaching the broken. “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthew 9:37-38). If it is the desire of your heart to be sent out into this local mission field at the Vista County Jail, please consider joining our group outreach team.
This is a team of men & women that visit Vista County Jail every month. The team is on a weekly rotation to cover the entire month.
This ministry creates a safe and anonymous way to encourage and minister to those in the prison. The focus of this ministry is to bring hope via letters to the inmates in prison. Through ReachOut PenPal Ministry you have the opportunity to do mission work right from your home & bring hope to a captive audience that is willing to hear from the outside world and who are ready to hear about a savior that can give them hope. Many of them have not heard from their family & loved ones in a very long time. All correspondence is done through the church. Your name and address is kept anonymous from the inmates to protect you.
As our culture continues its decline, the effect upon our children is particularly devastating. As a nation we have sown the wind and our children are reaping the whirlwind, and too many are spinning out of control and winding up in the criminal justice system. Our juvenile hall ministry desires to reach these juvenile offenders with the whole Gospel as we share the message of unconditional love, hope and forgiveness. It is our prayer and vision to intercept the path these kids are on now so they can make a U-turn and discover their true identity and purpose in Christ. If you have a heart “for the least of these,” please consider joining our juvenile hall visitation ministry.
