Operation Christmas Child

Greetings My Friends,

Can you believe that our OCC National Collection Week is three months away? Our local North County OCC Year Round team has been busy making plans and preparations for an exciting season and praying for a great harvest. We have certainly appreciated your ministry service to the program and wanted to extend the opportunity to get involved once again this year. Here are just a few of the new and exciting developments and where we will need volunteer help.

• Our Panera Bread Partnership has expanded into 10 restaurants in the North County Area
• An additional Chick-Fil-A (New restaurant) off of Carmel Mtn. Rd. will join the other 5 in promotions and collections of shoe boxes.
• Working once again with Friends & Family Community Connection Packing Party
• We have a new partnership with K-Love/Air 1 radio and will be doing a giant packing party at Mission Hills Church in San Marcos Oct. 29 ^th
• Maranatha Christian School will join in on collecting boxes for the first time this year
• Partnering with the many Fellowship of Christian Athletes clubs on high school campuses

• Oct. 1^st – North County Kick-off Event at Calvary Chapel Oceanside
• Oct. 15^th – Kick-off Promotion at Maranatha Chapel
• Oct. 29^th – K-Love/Air 1 Packing Party – San Marcos
• Oct. 29^th – Chick-fil-A Promotional Events – Throughout North County
• Oct./Nov. – Friends and Family Community Connection Packing Parties
• Nov. 14 –Last day of collections at Maranatha Chapel
• Nov. 14-21 – National Collection Week – Calvary Chapel Oceanside
• Nov. 25^th and Dec. 3^rd – Processing Center Excursions from Maranatha – Orange County

So as you can see, there are many opportunities to get involved. Plus make sure your growth groups and other church groups get involved. Please be in prayer as we start gaining momentum towards this year’s OCC campaign. We have placed before the Lord a collection total of 18,500 gospel opportunity shoe boxes in the North County area this year. Together, we can bring the gift and gospel to millions of children and their families.
