Daniel met Jesus as a young boy at a fun bible club that was being held in his parents house. As a teenager, Daniel walked away from the Lord and got involved in partying and drinking. Then, at the age of 19 God grabbed hold of Daniel's heart and began to change him from the inside out. Not too long after that, Daniel attended Calvary Chapel's Bible College in Murrietta California. Two years later, Daniel went on staff at Maranatha Chapel in San Diego. He served as a janitor for about a year and then became the high school pastor. Around that same time, Daniel married his high school sweetheart, Jill. For the next 8 years, Daniel served as the high school pastor at Maranatha Chapel.
Last July, my wife and I moved from our home in San Diego, California to Parker, Colorado to plant a church. We knew that God called us to start a work here, but didn't know much more than that. In fact, we only knew two people in the entire state of Colorado when we decided to move here. But we knew we had been called and that was enough.
The church began as a small home bible study in our living room last summer. The Lord continued to bless our little gathering and by the fall we felt like the time had come to officially launch the church. Our first meeting in our current facility took place on December 6th of last year. God has been so good to us and it has been exciting to watch God build this wonderful community we call the Lighthouse. We are excited to be a part of the work that God is doing in Colorado and look forward to all that God has in store for us.
Our heart and vision as a church is to see people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and to see this wonderful city transformed through the power of the gospel.
